Website Inspirations
This website is built with Hexo. Although it’s quite an unpopular choice for a blog framework, I like how posts are created using Markdown and ExpressJS for providing the templates of all the pages. It works well with my workflow as I use Obsidian as my main note-taking program.
The main motivation for creating this site was because of Shadok’s LOVEWEB video, The Web has lost its Soul. I completely agree with the video’s message. I recognize the tactics the most popular apps and users which make them more profitable which fills me with disgust.
Website Goals
After realizing how bad the internet has become, I decided to make a repository of my knowledge for everyone to see, use, and learn. Poor Google Search performance, forcing centralization by effectively banning 3rd party Reddit apps, and the chance of my content being deleted by poor content moderation in modern sites motivated me to make this site.
